“What do you want to watch?” “I don’t know, what do you want to watch?”
Sound familiar? Ever since we reached an all time high in our cable bill (over $200!), we cut that cord. We went a few years prior without cable so it really was a no-brainer to save over $100 a month and return to some alternative viewing methods.
We use a variety of viewing services including Netflix, Amazon Video (with some channel subscriptions) and Hulu. Not to mention we own over 1,000 physical movies.
So instead of watching the typical “13 Days of Halloween” specials on TV, we make our own! This year we made a little calendar for the month of October and planned out what days for what movies so that there was no guessing. We were still very flexible with it, but it took a lot of the guess work and frustration of choosing out.
Our tastes range from silly, to family friendly and to rated-R so be sure to check out the ratings before viewing with the kids – but have fun! This is also the order we watched everything in. I hope this gives you some ideas about what to finish the month out with. I have a feeling we may be using this calendar method more often!
Halloween Town, The Labyrinth, Van Helsing, Friday The 13th, Teen Wolf, Cabin In The Woods, Sweeney Todd, Victor Frankenstein, The Adams Family, Interview With A Vampire, Amityville Horror, Dracula, The Shining, Nightmare On Elm St., Beetlejuice, The Exorcist, Matilda, Trick Or Treat, The Lost Boys, Halloween, Hocus Pocus
Enjoy!
